GUIDED TOMAHAWK KAYAK RIVER TOUR
Join us on this guided kayak adventure and enjoy paddling through serene Northwoods wilderness. This river trip promises amazing scenery and even some gentle and mellow rapids. The perfect adventure for the whole family!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect to paddle through the fresh water during this 2.5 hour guided tour. It’s not a tough workout, but rather a relaxing float down the river. All you need to do is sit back and gently paddle your way down stream as your knowledgeable guide explains all about the local area and the flora and fauna in this stunning part of Wisconsin.
BEFORE YOUR KAYAK RIVER TOUR BEGINS
Please make sure to arrive at the Northwoods Zip Line Adventure Tour clubhouse 30 minutes before your scheduled tour. You’ll then meet your guide and hop on the shuttle to the river, which is located approximately 10 minutes away.
GET OUT ON THE TOMAHAWK RIVER
Once we arrive at the Tomahawk River, we’ll get you all kitted out and ready for the tour. You guides will give you a quick safety briefing and you’ll be able to ask any questions you may have. After this, it’s time for the fun to start! You’ll get in your kayaks and begin paddling along this beautiful river stretch.
CHECK OUT THE NATIVE WILDLIFE
Your guide will explain all aspects about the Wisconsin wilderness and take you through its beautiful, scenic areas. Don’t forget to keep your eyes out for native wildlife during the tour! Near the end of your trip you’ll pass through some Class I rapids. Don’t worry, these are gentle mellow rapids that add a little extra excitement to our Kayak River Tour.
BACK ON LAND!
After you’ve paddled your way along the Tomahawk River and learnt everything there is to know about our biodiversity, we’ll get you back on land! We will then shuttle you straight back to the meeting point where you left your vehicle.
STAY & PLAY!
We bet this tour will leave you wanting more, so check out our other tours or enjoy our free options. We proudly offer a 2.5 mile Free Mountain Bike Trail, which was built as a way to give back to the community. The trail is open ALL YEAR ROUND for biking, hiking and snow trekking. It is maintained throughout the year by Lakeland Area Mountain Biking Organization (LAMBO). We don’t supply or rent bikes so please bring your own or ask for a local rental recommendation!
IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH
We now also offer free Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) on the 20 acre lake for anyone who has taken part in one of our tours. This pristine lake is perfect for a relaxing day of paddle boarding. No boats. No waves. No houses. No noise. Just you and the smooth, open water. Paddle boards are available at Northwoods Zip Line on a first come first serve basis. Please note that life jackets are provided and signed waivers are required.
